Job Title: Underwriter

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as an Underwriter in Pittsburgh. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing risk to determine approval or denial of loan applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
• Evaluate and verify income, debt, credit history, and overall financial position of loan applicants
• Review loan applications and related documents to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Communicate decisions on loan applications to loan officers and applicants
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Prior experience in underwriting or a similar role
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
