Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Tampa

Pay: 75K

Job Description:

• Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles
• Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system
• Prepare affidavits, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Coordinate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
• Help lawyers prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as needed
• Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and billing clients
• Follow up with clients to ensure deadlines are met and documents are filed on time

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
• Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations, and court system
• Proficient in MS Office and legal research software
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
• Associate's degree in Paralegal studies or related field
• Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) is a plus
