Job Description


Responsibilities:
  • Maintain permit and license compliance and corporate entity formation and renewals
  • Schedule and track all corporate compliance and real estate transactional deadlines
  • Assist with entity formations and registrations, dissolutions, conversions, obtain EINs, draft organizational charts, and various organizational documents, including transaction consents/resolutions
  • Draft organizational documents, such as Operational and LLC Agreements for newly formed entities.
  • Prepare responses to requests for information from various external sources
  • Research and analyze legal sources such as statutes, case law, legal articles, and regulatory sources
  • Communicate regularly with attorneys regarding the status of projects and deadlines and inform attorneys of any issues that arise
  • Prepare/review purchase and sale agreements and real estate closing paperwork
  • Order and review title exams, ALTA surveys, zoning reports and UCC searches
  • Coordinate closings including preparing closing checklists, escrow letters and closing binders

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • At least 5 years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in a large law firm setting, in-house legal department of a real estate firm or a title company
  • Strong commitment to quality of service and quality of work is required
  • Must be a reliable and positive team player
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work on multiple tasks at a time
  • Notary public or willing to become a Notary
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
