Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in the Pittsburgh area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection systems to safeguard lives and property. This role requires a deep understanding of fire safety codes and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design fire protection systems based on project requirements and applicable codes
• Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection measures into building designs
• Perform hydraulic calculations and analysis for fire suppression systems
• Review and approve fire protection system submittals
• Provide technical expertise and support during project planning and execution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing fire protection systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
