Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budget preparation, and internal control policies and procedures in the Greater Norwalk area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and exceptional analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Proven working experience as a Controller in a similar industry
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
