Building Inspector

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our team in Aiken. As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws. Your primary duties will include conducting inspections, reviewing plans, and providing guidance to contractors and property owners.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
• Review building plans and specifications for code compliance
• Issue violation notices and stop-work orders when necessary
• Document inspection findings and maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with contractors and property owners

Requirements:

• Previous experience in building inspection or construction
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and zoning laws
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification as a Building Inspector is a plus
