Job Description
Prior legal experience is a must, and the applicant should expect to become increasingly familiar with the subject matter and become increasingly independent. The ideal candidate welcomes increasing responsibility, enjoys novel work challenges, and would like to manage a fast-paced workflow. If you are seeking routine work, this is not the job for you. The ideal candidate should be seeking meaningful work that impacts real people. Do you enjoy working in a group where everyone pitches in to accomplish what must be done? Then you’d fit right in. Current paralegal certificate students and paralegal graduates are encouraged to apply, regardless of whether they have litigation experience. The position requires managing client files, communicating with clients, obtaining medical records, drafting correspondence and pleadings, and managing attorney calendars. You must have good communication skills and be energetic, detail oriented, and enjoy working with a team. The ideal candidate must be organized and efficient, be able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks based on urgency and due dates, have excellent phone skills, be competent with email and Microsoft Office, and be able to follow directions from supervising attorneys.
